Parliament passes condolence motion for MP Deepak Bohara’s death
The motion was unanimously passed during a meeting of the House on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has passed a condolence motion on the death of Deepak Bohara, a Member of Parliament from the RPP.
The motion was unanimously passed during a meeting of the House on Tuesday.
Bohara, who was elected to the Federal Parliament’s House of Representatives from Rupandehi District, Constituency No. 3 in the 2079 elections, passed away on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
Bohara had served as a member of the National Panchayat and the House of Representatives multiple times and had held the position of Minister of Nepal Government eight times.
He was 74 years old at the time of his death. Speaker of the House, Agni Prasad Sapkota, paid tribute to Bohara and extended condolences to his grieving family.
He said, “On behalf of the RPP, we express our deepest condolences for the untimely passing of Deepak Bohara, who was elected as a Member of Parliament from Rupandehi District, Constituency No. 3, and served in various capacities, including as a member of the National Panchayat and House of Representatives. He also held the post of Minister in the Government of Nepal on eight occasions. We mourn his loss and extend our heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved family.”
During the meeting, Speaker Ghimire also announced that the ongoing session of the Parliament would conclude at midnight today, as per a notice from the President’s Office.
