Pedestrian killed in accident with ambulance in Siraha

KATHMANDU: An accident unfolded on Monday night in Ward 11 of Dhangadhimai Municipality, Siraha, when a pedestrian, 40-year-old Babita Yadav, was struck by an ambulance (license plate Ko 1 Cha 8612) traveling from Dhangadhi to Shantipur.

Babita sustained severe injuries in the collision and, despite receiving immediate medical attention at RK Medicity Hospital in Siraha, tragically passed away during treatment.

The police have arrested the ambulance driver for further investigation into the incident.
