Midnight marks end of parliamentary session

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has officially ended the current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament, effective from midnight tonight.

In accordance with Article 93, Clause (2) of Nepal’s Constitution, the President has ended the session based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

In its meeting on Monday, the Council of Ministers had decided to recommend to the President to terminate the ongoing session of both houses of the Federal Parliament, which will come into effect at midnight tonight.
