Rabi Lamichhane: Parsa issue being politicized
According to him, the government is attempting to cover up the incident in Parsa just as it did with the Tinkune case.

KATHMANDU: The Chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has accused the government of spreading misinformation about the funds of the Sano Paila Cooperative in Birgunj, Parsa, being linked to Gorkha Media.
According to him, the government is attempting to cover up the incident in Parsa just as it did with the Tinkune case.
During a meeting with Speaker of the House, Devraj Ghimire, at Singha Durbar on Tuesday, Lamichhane sharply criticized the government’s stance. He said, “The government is trying to cover up the incident in Parsa in a manner similar to how it handled the Tinkune case.”
He added, “I have serious doubts about the government’s decisions. The government has deployed people to register cases related to the Parsa issue, using them for political retaliation.” Lamichhane also mentioned that he had met with the Speaker on the first day of the parliamentary session to request that the issue be addressed in Parliament.
“I was hopeful that the issue would be resolved through legal procedures and with respect for the court. However, the government is using this opportunity as a political tool,” he said.
Lamichhane criticized the government’s intervention in the Parsa issue, calling it a negative development. “If the government’s behavior continues, this will be used as a weapon for political retaliation in the future. I met with the Speaker, and I received a positive response,” he added.
He further claimed that the government was using the Parsa issue as a political tool and attempting to cover it up in a manner similar to the Tinkune incident.
“Not only is the government trying to cover up the Parsa issue, but it is also using it as a political opportunity,” Lamichhane concluded.
