Lawmaker Bohara passes away
According to his personal secretary, Taramani Chand, he died during the course of his treatment.

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and former minister, Member of Parliament Deepak Bohara, has passed away at Om Hospital in Kathmandu.
According to his personal secretary, Taramani Chand, he died during the course of his treatment.
Bohara had contracted COVID-19 during the second wave of the pandemic in Jestha 2077, which led to long-term post-COVID complications. Over time, his voice changed, and his health continued to deteriorate.
Subsequently, he sought medical treatment in Delhi, where doctors identified a throat issue.
Later, he traveled to New York for further treatment, where he underwent speech therapy.
Due to post-COVID complications, he developed throat cancer, which led to his inability to speak.
Throughout the election period, Bohara communicated his thoughts through others, as he was unable to speak due to his health condition.
In the 2069 parliamentary elections, he triumphed over Nepali Congress candidate Balakrishna Khand from Rupandehi Constituency No. 1.
