KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party, led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav), has decided to continue its efforts for party unification.

The party has resolved to pursue unity initiatives with the CPN-Maoist Centre and other political parties.

The NCP has also decided to collaborate with parties led by prominent leaders such as Mohan Vaidhya, Ahuti, Dharmendra Bastola, and Mohan Bikram Singh, aiming to form a united front.

In a decision taken during the Politburo meeting on Tuesday, the party emphasized the need to take steps to make the Socialist Front more effective.

During the meeting, Anil Sharma mentioned that General Secretary Biplav had presented ten major proposals concerning the upcoming elections, the country’s political landscape, and ongoing struggles.

The meeting, which began with a tribute to martyrs, endorsed the political direction presented by the central committee.

Biplav highlighted the need to address the current political crisis, advocating for solutions that avoid regression and the status quo.

He stressed the importance of intensifying efforts for a democratic and unified approach to achieve socialism with a distinct Nepali character.
