In light of these events, the police have urged the public to be cautious of misleading and exaggerated photos and videos circulating on social media.
SP Apil Bohara of the Kathmandu District Police issued a statement warning that unauthorized and false information could create confusion, fear, and uncertainty in society.
He urged people to remain vigilant and refrain from spreading unverified content.
The police also stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
They requested that anyone with legitimate material related to the events send it to the official Facebook page or email address of the Kathmandu District Police.
Furthermore, the police administration called on all parties to take responsibility and avoid the spread of false information that could lead to misperceptions.
