Two held with firearm & gunpowder in Dhankuta

KATHMANDU: Two individuals have been arrested in the Sinukula area of Sangurigadhi Municipality-8 in Dhankuta, with a firearm and gunpowder in their possession.
The arrests took place on Monday night at around 9:45 PM.
A police team from the Bhedetar Area Police Post, while on patrol, stopped a motorcycle traveling from Dhungre towards Sinukula. Upon inspection, the authorities discovered a single-barrel firearm and gunpowder.
The motorcycle, with the registration number PR-1-02-047 Pa 1880, was being ridden by 32-year-old Tejakumar BK and 38-year-old Manbha Rai, both locals.
The two individuals were arrested, and the motorcycle, along with the seized items, was taken into custody for further investigation.
District Police Spokesperson Omprakash Khanal confirmed the incident and stated that further inquiries are underway.
