KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has passed five replacement bills by majority vote.

In today’s session, Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal informed that all the bills were approved by a majority.

The bills passed include the “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081”, “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081”, “Economic Procedures and Financial Accountability (First Amendment) Bill, 2081”, “Privatization (First Amendment) Bill, 2081”, and “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Economic and Business Environment Improvement and Investment Promotion, 2081”.

After a clause-by-clause discussion and amendments, the bills were approved in the National Assembly.

These bills will now be sent to the House of Representatives along with a message.

The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on April 7 (Monday) at 1:15 PM.
