He emphasized that the ordinances presented in Parliament were in accordance with the constitution and had already been approved by both houses.

KATHMANDU: In a speech delivered on Monday during the National Assembly session, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called on the opposition to set aside personal egos and work together to resume parliamentary activities.
He emphasized that the ordinances presented in Parliament were in accordance with the constitution and had already been approved by both houses.
Prime Minister Oli pointed out that to strengthen and implement the constitution, the creation of necessary laws through ordinances was essential. He underscored the importance of unity among all political parties to fortify the democratic republic established in the country.
Referring to ongoing anti-republic activities in the country and his recent visit to Thailand, he urged all parties to unite for the smooth functioning of Parliament.
Regarding the issue of the termination of Nepal Electricity Authority’s Managing Director, Kulman Ghising, Prime Minister Oli stated that, as the matter is under judicial consideration, discussing it in Parliament at this time would not be appropriate.
He also mentioned that political appointments, other than those made by the Public Service Commission, should follow a system where they are automatically changed when the government changes, suggesting the need for an appropriate mechanism in place.
