Body of missing youth found buried, five arrested

KATHMANDU: A young man’s body has been found buried in Makalabari, Gokarneshwar Municipality-8, Kathmandu.
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Rahul Sah from Chakraghatta Rural Municipality-8, Sarlahi.
His body was discovered behind the RK Motorcycle Workshop in the area.
Police have arrested five individuals, including one Indian national, in connection with the incident. Preliminary investigations indicate that Sah’s murder was related to financial transactions, as revealed by Kathmandu District Police Chief, Superintendent Apil Raj Bohora.
Sah, a resident of Gokarneshwar Municipality-5, had been missing since Chait 11, prompting a search operation by the Boudha Police Post team based on the information received.
The arrested individuals are Nipu Mandal, 22, Vijay Yadav, 18, Karan Kumar Mahto, 18, Jodhan Mandal, 23, and Uttam Mandal, 45, all from Chakraghatta, Sarlahi.
Additionally, 29-year-old Sunil Sharma, an Indian national, was also detained.
Police have secured a five-day remand from the Kathmandu District Court to continue their investigation into the case.
