7 dead in Ecuador bus rollover
Authorities have yet to report what could have caused the accident.

QUITO: At least seven people were killed and 11 others injured Sunday when an interprovincial bus overturned in southwest Ecuador’s coastal province of Guayas, local authorities said.
The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. local time (0900 GMT) at the Guayaquil-Playas Highway near the El Consuelo district, the Guayaquil Fire Department said on X, posting images of the overturned bus on the side of the road.
The department dispatched six ambulances, two rescue units and two combat units to handle the emergency, transporting the injured to hospitals.
Authorities have yet to report what could have caused the accident.
Traffic accidents are a leading cause of death in Ecuador, mainly due to speeding and reckless driving, according to authorities.
