Former Ambassador & senior journalist Koirala passes away
He passed away on Sunday evening while undergoing treatment at the KMC Hospital in Sinamangal.

KATHMANDU: Senior journalist and former ambassador Kamal Koirala has passed away at the age of 87.
He passed away on Sunday evening while undergoing treatment at the KMC Hospital in Sinamangal.
Koirala, who had fallen at home a few days ago, was admitted to KMC for medical treatment.
He served as Nepal’s ambassador to South Korea and was the son of former Prime Minister Matrika Prasad Koirala.
Kamal Koirala, the only member of the Koirala family to adhere to communist and left-wing ideologies, had worked as a columnist in various newspapers.
The late Koirala, who also served as a former Member of Parliament, will be honored with a tribute at the office of the Unified Socialist Party of Nepal on Monday at 11 AM, before being cremated at the Pashupati Aryaghat, according to family sources.
