KATHMANDU: MP Raghuji Panta from the CPN-UML has reiterated his party’s firm commitment to the implementation and protection of the current constitution.

Speaking to journalists outside the Parliament building on Sunday, Panta emphasized that all members have the constitutional right to speak in the legislature.

He pointed out that the opposition’s actions in obstructing the Parliament have prevented Home Minister from responding regarding the incident at Tinkune.

Panta accused the opposition of raising issues without substantial proof or foundation.

Regarding the Tinkune incident, Panta claimed that it occurred under the leadership and direction of the former King.

He called for a discussion in Parliament to clarify the situation and reach a shared consensus.

He further stressed that the opposition’s disruption of Parliament was inappropriate, especially when the Prime Minister had expressed his intention to respond to queries in Parliament.

Pant also dismissed the opposition’s demand for a response from the Prime Minister in Parliament, stating that such a request was neither constitutional nor in line with the Parliamentary procedures.
