Clashes erupt in Janakpur over murder protest
Dozens injured including police.

KATHMANDU: A protest erupted in Bindhi, Ward 23 of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, against the recent murder of a young man.
Local residents clashed with police while blocking the Janakpur-Bhitamode road in a show of anger.
The confrontation occurred after police intervened with a baton charge to disperse the demonstrators.
As a result, more than a dozen locals and some police officers were injured.
In an effort to control the situation, the police fired tear gas rounds.
The protests stemmed from the brutal stabbing of 17-year-old Ashu Yadav, who was murdered with a knife on the day of Holi, 15 days ago, in Bindhi, Ward 23.
While one suspect has been arrested, six others remain at large.
The local community has expressed outrage over the police’s failure to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The protesters have continued to block roads since the morning, demanding justice and the capture of all individuals involved in the crime.
