RSP President Lamichhane returns to party leadership

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swaatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane, who was arrested in a cooperative fraud case on Oct 18, has returned to take charge of the party once again.

After a special central committee meeting held on Monday afternoon at the central office in Banasthali, Acting General Secretary Kavindra Burlakoti announced that Rabi Lamichhane would lead the party as President in the second meeting.

The RSP Secretariat meeting on Dec 23 had decided to assign the role of Acting President to Vice President Dol Prasad Aryal.

After Lamichhane’s arrest, Vice President Aryal chaired the central committee meeting held on Nov 25 in Jaleshwar, Mahottari.
