12-year-old boy drowns in Deumai River, Ilam

KATHMANDU: A 12-year-old boy, Naish Tamang, drowned while swimming in the Deumai River in Deumai Municipality-5, Ilam, on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred while he was swimming in a pond at the river.

Naish Tamang was the son of Santman Tamang, a resident of Angdang Aletar, Deumai Municipality-5.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
