KATHMANDU: A sanitation worker from Sindhuli, Kamalamai Municipality, died early Sunday morning after being hit by a jeep.
Sher Bahadur Khapangi, a 35-year-old sanitation worker from Kamalamai-12, was struck by a jeep with the registration number Province 1–001 Cha 8821, which was traveling from Jhapa to Kathmandu.
The incident occurred while Khapangi was on his bicycle, heading to the office for sanitation work, near the Ratmata curve in Kamalamai-6 along the BP Highway.
The driver of the jeep has been arrested, confirmed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Govindraj Kafle from the Sindhuli Police.
