KATHMANDU: On Saturday, the government initiated the process of revoking former King Gyanendra Shah’s passport.

The move follows investigations into Friday’s violent protests, which were reportedly directed by Shah.

Sources indicate that the decision to cancel his passport comes amid fears that he might attempt to flee the country.

According to sources, “The field commander behind yesterday’s murder, arson, and looting was Durga Prasai.

However, it has been confirmed that Gyanendra Shah was the one who directed him, providing financial resources and coordinating the actions.”
