Body of woman found in Birgunj, investigation underway
The body has been sent to the Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for post-mortem examination.
KATHMANDU: A woman’s body was found in front of the Nagarwa Area Police Office in Ward No. 16 of Birgunj Metropolitan City.
The deceased has been identified as Ansuya Agarwal, a resident of Nursing Campus, Ward No. 4, Birgunj, confirmed by the Parsa District Police Office on Saturday.
According to the police, the cause of Agarwal’s death is still unclear.
Preliminary investigations revealed a wound near her head, and initial observations at the scene suggest the possibility of an animal attack or an injury from a fall.
The body has been sent to the Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for post-mortem examination.
The police have collected evidence from the scene and have begun further investigation.
Local eyewitnesses reported that the discovery of the body early Saturday morning caused panic in the area.
A spokesperson from the Parsa District Police Office stated, “Given the condition of the body, several possibilities are being considered. However, the exact cause of death will only be determined after the post-mortem report is received.”
The police have intensified the investigation, conducting inquiries and gathering evidence from the surrounding areas.
