Violent protests demanding monarchy reinstatement: 110 held so far
Following an investigation, the police reported that by Saturday morning, 110 individuals had been detained.

KATHMANDU: The number of individuals arrested in connection with the violent protests in Tinkune demanding the reinstatement of the monarchy has risen to 110.
On Friday, supporters of former King Gyanendra Shah staged a demonstration that turned violent, leading to property damage, arson, and other violent incidents.
Following an investigation, the police reported that by Saturday morning, 110 individuals had been detained.
Among those arrested, religious leader Pushkar Khatiwada has also been taken into custody.
Additionally, prominent leaders of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), including Senior Vice Chair Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamser Rana, have been under police surveillance since Friday.
Durga Prasai, believed to be the mastermind behind the incident, is still at large, and police are continuing their search for him.
