Home Minister inspects damage after violent protests (photos)

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has conducted an on-site inspection of the damage caused by the destruction and arson carried out by royalist groups in the three districts.

The inspection came after a series of violent protests on Friday, during which various buildings, party offices, and vehicles were set on fire.

As the protest turned increasingly violent, security forces intervened.

Two people lost their lives in the protests, and dozens of others were injured.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the minister will hold discussions with the heads of security forces to assess the situation and review the response.
