Police authorized to shoot curfew violators without prior orders: DIG Acharya

KATHMANDU: The Central Spokesperson of the Nepal Police, DIG Dinesh Acharya, stated that the police do not need prior orders to shoot at individuals who violate curfew orders.

In an conversation with Makalukhabar on Friday, Acharya clarified the police’s stance on maintaining law and order during curfews.

He emphasized that law enforcement officers are authorized to take immediate action, including using force, without waiting for additional orders.
