‘Police fail to reach during robbery at Bhatbhateni’

KATHMANDU: Pro-monarchy protesters looted, vandalized, and set fire at the Bhatbhateni store in Koteshwor.

Following vandalism in Tinkune, the protesting group, now fragmented, targeted Bhatbhateni in Koteshwor for looting, destruction, and arson.

According to sources from Bhatbhateni, the protesters physically assaulted security guards and entered the superstore.

Once inside, they looted goods, carrying them out and setting fire to some of them.

The source also expressed frustration that despite calling the police for security, no assistance arrived.

At 3:58 PM, the source claimed they contacted the IGP, but help did not come in time.

The building of Bhatbhateni suffered significant damage, with glass windows shattered.
