Aturkal drama from Pokhara to be performed in Japan

GANDAKI: A Nepali drama ‘Aturkal’ which is scripted and directed by Kedar Nath Paudel is scheduled to be performed in Japanese cities.
The drama is presented by Indreni Theatre Pokhara.
The drama would be performed in Itabashi on April 12 and 13 and in Tokyo on April 14 in Japan, Director Kedar Nath Paudel said.
The drama carries the stories of sufferings, struggles, displacement, class struggle and pangs of war along with social discrimination and the dreams of common Nepalis.
The story of the drama revolves around Kiran Chapagain, the key performer of the drama Aturkal, narrating the ups and downs of Nepali common people.
Earlier, the drama Aturkal was performed at the Pokhara Theatre in 2021 and at the Russian House, Kathmandu, in 2023.
Paudel is a young and established playwright in Pokhara whose creations have already influenced the literary and theatric communities at home and abroad.
The other dramas of Paudel include Ghero, Dhaniramko Goru, Bhrun and Bato.
