Bus & van collide in Manahari, driver killed
The two vehicles crashed into each other.
KATHMANDU: A accident occurred on the East-West Highway on Friday morning at Lothar, Manahari Municipality-6, Hetauda when a bus and a magic van collided.
The incident involved a bus (registration number Ba Pr 03006 Kha 5681) traveling from Chitwan towards Hetauda and a magic van (registration number Ba Pr 03001 Cha 3012) heading towards Lothar Bazaar from Manahari.
The two vehicles crashed into each other.
In the accident, the driver of the magic van, 32-year-old Sandesh Koirala from Raksirang Municipality-4, lost his life.
Koirala, who was the only one in the van, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Chitwan for treatment.
The incident occurred despite efforts to get him medical help.
Both vehicles were reportedly traveling at high speeds when the collision took place.
The police have taken the bus driver into custody for further investigation.
