HoR session postponed until 11 AM Friday
The session, which was initially scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, was first postponed to 2 p.m.

KATHMANDU: The suspension of the parliamentary session on Thursday due to the issue of Kulman Ghising’s removal from the position of Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has sparked intense debate.
The session was postponed until 11 a.m. on Friday after no agreement was reached between the ruling and opposition parties.
The session, which was initially scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, was first postponed to 2 p.m.
However, when the session still could not take place, the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament, Padmaprasad Pandey, issued a notice announcing that the meeting would be adjourned until 11 a.m. the following day.
Opposition parties have demanded that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli personally address the issue in the House, as they claim the Cabinet decided to remove Kulman from his post.
They have threatened to block the session until the Prime Minister provides clarification.
The government has expressed its readiness to respond to the issue in Parliament, but Mahesh Bartaula, the Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, stated that Prime Minister Oli would not personally attend the session to give an explanation, in accordance with the party’s stance.
