Tourists guide dies in Manaslu region

KATHMANDU: A guide has passed away in the Manaslu region.

Sarky Sherpa, a 54-year-old resident of Sotang Rural Municipality-4 in Solukhumbu, lost his life during a trekking trip.

Sherpa fell unexpectedly while walking in Khorlabesi, Dharchhe Rural Municipality-3, sustaining a head injury.

Despite receiving treatment at Dharchhe Basic Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, according to DSP Indraprasad Suvedi of the Gorakha District Police Office.

Sherpa was guiding an American tourist to the Manaslu region through INFO Nepal, a trekking agency.
