Kulman challenges dismissal, seeks reinstatement in SC

KATHMANDU: Kulman Ghising, the former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has approached the Supreme Court seeking justice after being removed from his position by the government.

Ghising, who claims his dismissal was unlawful, filed a petition with the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

In his petition, he demands the annulment of the government’s decision and his reinstatement as the Managing Director.

He has named the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Energy, the newly appointed Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Hiteendra Dev Shakya, and others as defendants in the case.
