PM Oli: No one can take away Nepali people’s rights
He urged the youth group to demonstrate their capability when necessary, even confronting regressive forces.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized that no one has the power to take away the rights that the Nepali people have fought for.
While addressing the National Volunteer Conference 2081 organized by the National Youth Association Nepal, Oli, who is also the Chair of the CPN-UML, stated that the people have yet to fully understand the strength of the Youth Association.
He urged the youth group to demonstrate their capability when necessary, even confronting regressive forces.
He remarked, “No one has the power to take away the rights we fought for. This is something that the youth can convey better. If anyone tries to put the country in trouble, the Youth Association will act like a tiger pouncing.” He further added, “This is a good start for volunteer activities. Use this power in an organized and dignified way, just like the previous Youth Force. It should be an unarmed, permanent team. If any regressive forces challenge us or if development opponents create obstacles in our work, respond strongly.”
Addressing the matter of removing an employee from their position, the Prime Minister stated that there was no need to continue responding to critics. “The Prime Minister has already answered. One was removed, and another was appointed. That’s the answer. We are not here to appoint anyone based on what they say,” Oli remarked.
Prime Minister Oli also expressed concern over opposition attempts to block the passage of bills to replace ordinances by March 18. He urged the opposition to refrain from being cheap, lighthearted, and reckless. “Don’t speak recklessly about the Prime Minister. You should bathe in cold water. We won’t be defeated or panicked. We will move forward with patience,” he said.
The program also featured speeches by CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Coordinator of the Coordination Committee of the People’s Organizations Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, Politburo member Mahesh Basnet, and the President of the National Youth Association, Kshitij Thebe, who shared their thoughts on the need for the national volunteer campaign.
