KATHMANDU: A fire that broke out at Central Plaza in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, Sunsari, is yet to be brought under control.
According to the Chief District Officer, Dharmendra Kumar Mishra, efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing, but it has not been extinguished so far.
He mentioned that rescue operations are underway, with trapped individuals being assisted using ropes.

Fire trucks have been deployed, and a joint effort from local residents, Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force is being made to control the fire.
The plaza affected by the fire houses over 50 shops, including a hotel and cinema hall.
Initial reports indicate physical damage, but there is no information about any human casualties as of yet.
