Kushwaha’s unique getup sparks buzz ahead of ‘Dorii’ release

KATHMANDU: Nepali film ‘Dorii’ is set to hit theaters across the country starting this Friday, 15th of Chait.
As the release date approaches, actor Birendra Singh Kushwaha has been spotted in an unusual avatar at various locations in Kathmandu.
Wearing a garland made of ropes around his neck, a red saree, and sporting an angry expression, Kushwaha has left passersby astonished.
Many people have taken photos and videos of him and shared them on social media, sparking various discussions.
This activity, part of the promotional strategy for the movie ‘Dorii,’ has successfully attracted public attention.
Director Arun Lama explained that this approach was used to catch the audience’s attention in accordance with the film’s storyline. In the previously released trailer, Birendra was seen in the same getup, suggesting that the movie is quite intriguing.
‘Dorii’ has been written and directed by Arun Lama, who also plays the lead role in the film.
The movie features performances from Praveen Khatiwada, Shishir Bangdel, Prakash Ghimire, Anjana Baraili, Raj Poudel, Kavita Ale, Nutan, Raj Thapa, Birendra Singh Kushwaha, Sharda Adhikari, Prem Subba, Sajan Shrestha, Ram Babu Regmi, and others.
The film is produced by Dinesh Bhattrai, with Raj Thapa serving as the executive producer.
The screenplay is written by Dr. Manoj Pandit, with key team members including assistant director Dinesh Bahadur Rawat, action director Raju Tamang, music director Rajan Raj Siwakoti, cinematographer Sourabh Lama, art director Roshan Diwana, editor Milan Shrestha, and color coordinator Renish Fago.
