Flight resumes at Bhojpur Airport after three-months shutdown

KATHMANDU: Flights have resumed at the Bhojpur Airport in Taksar, Bhojpur Municipality-12, after being closed for three months.

According to Prakash Khadka, Station Head of Nepal Airlines Corporation in Bhojpur, the airline’s flights resumed today.

He mentioned that from now on, flights will follow a new schedule.

The airport, which began operations in 1978 (2035 BS), has always been serviced exclusively by Nepal Airlines Corporation.

The airport’s runway is 545 meters long and 20 meters wide, and no other aircraft can operate there.

During the closure, patients referred from the district hospital to Kathmandu and other travelers were severely affected.

The Corporation stated that one of its two small aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance, and once repaired, operations will become smoother.
