Protest supports Kulman Ghising, opposes NEA removal (photos)

KATHMANDU: A protest in support of Kulman Ghising was held today at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu.
The demonstration, organized by an organization called “Nepali Janta,” was against the government’s decision to remove him from his position as the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
Protesters gathered at Maitighar and marched with a rally towards New Baneshwor. During the protest, they raised slogans such as “Where is the light, remove Kulman,” “Long live Bright Nepal, down with the dark government,” and “We, the people, have seen enough, the government is getting too much power.”
The rally highlighted public discontent with the government’s decision and voiced strong support for Kulman Ghising, who is widely credited with improving Nepal’s power supply situation.
