Balen Shah accuses govt. of protecting corrupt officials

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has accused the government of protecting corrupt individuals, challenging that if his claims are wrong, he should be sent to jail.

He made this statement while publicly commenting on the ongoing construction of the Kathmandu Tower Project in Ward 28 of the city.

In a post on social media, Mayor Shah wrote, “A government that shields corrupt individuals who violate so many laws, and we are expected to only hear speeches about good governance?” His statement reflects his strong stance against corruption and government inaction, highlighting his frustration with the ongoing issues surrounding the project.
