Govt. removes Kulman as NEA Executive Director, appoints Hitendradev
The decision to dismiss him was made after repeated requests for clarification regarding his actions, which were deemed unsatisfactory.
KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal has remove Kulman Ghising from his position as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
On Monday evening, a Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Durbar made the decision to remove Ghising, according to a minister.
The decision to dismiss him was made after repeated requests for clarification regarding his actions, which were deemed unsatisfactory.
Ghising had recently provided clarification for the fifth time on the matter.
Following the removal of Kulman Ghising from his position, Hitendra Dev Shakya has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
The decision to appoint Shakya was also made during the same Cabinet meeting on Monday evening.
