JBBL celebrates Global Money Week 2025
During the one-week campaign, the bank conducted numerous financial literacy and awareness programs through its branches across the country.

KATHMANDU: Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited (JBBL) organized various financial literacy programs across multiple locations from Chaitra 4 to Chaitra 10, 2081 (March 17 to March 23, 2025), as part of the Global Money Week 2025 campaign.
The theme of this year’s Global Money Week was “Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow,” with a focus on educating youth about financial awareness.
During the one-week campaign, the bank conducted numerous financial literacy and awareness programs through its branches across the country.
The bank also utilized digital platforms and social media to spread awareness and share informative content. As a result, over 1,000 individuals directly benefited from these programs.
Under this campaign, Jyoti Bikas Bank’s regional and cluster offices organized over 15 training sessions and financial literacy programs in schools and colleges within their respective areas.
Topics covered included modern banking, the core functions of banks and financial institutions, financial discipline, needs vs. wants, setting financial goals, saving, investing, managing expenses, electronic financial services, cashless transactions, the stock market, electronic frauds, and knowledge about OTP (One-Time Password) security.
Additionally, the bank posted various audio-visual materials on its social media platforms and organized morning rallies to spread financial information.
The bank believes that such programs play a crucial role in raising awareness about the importance of financial literacy, promoting financial education among children and youth from a young age, and empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and behavior needed to make sound financial decisions and become competent citizens in the future.
