Constitution Assembly Council of condemns unruly activities, warns of political instability
The Constitution Assembly Council of Nepal stated that the establishment of a republic in Nepal was not just a change in the system but a historic transformation.

KATHMANDU: The Constitution Assembly Council of Nepal has expressed concerns over the political instability caused by recent unruly activities.
In a press conference held at Singha Durbar on Monday, the council stated that the ongoing disruptions are leading to political instability, weakening democratic institutions, and orchestrating a conspiracy to divide Nepali society.
Council President Ananta Paudel, speaking at the event, accused these unruly activities of undermining the constitutional system, particularly pointing to demonstrations by monarchist groups that he claimed went against the essence and spirit of the Constitution.
Paudel emphasized that Nepal’s democracy was established through sacrifice, struggle, and the will of the people, and that defending the democratic system is the duty of every Nepali citizen.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the Constitution and continually working to strengthen the democratic system.
The council also condemned recent activities by certain groups that they claimed were in violation of the principles and spirit of the federal democratic republican Constitution.
Paudel stressed the need for all political parties to focus on ensuring the control of corruption, rule of law, and good governance to reassure the Nepali people.
The Constitution Assembly Council of Nepal also emphasized the importance of dialogue with all stakeholders to address the flaws in the Constitution and make necessary amendments in line with the aspirations of the Nepali people.
