Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank celebrates Global Money Week 2025 with Financial Literacy Programs nationwide

KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, in celebration of Global Money Week 2025, which was observed from 4th to 10th of Chaitra 2081, successfully carried out a week-long initiative aimed at enhancing financial literacy.
The bank’s efforts focused on identifying underserved target groups in the financial sector and raising awareness about financial services through various programs held across its branches and regional offices in all seven provinces of Nepal.
As part of this campaign, the bank organized numerous financial literacy sessions, rallies, and awareness programs in its branches located in Gangbu, Dhangadhi, Chandranigapur, Damauli, Itahari, Janakpur, Birgunj, Damak, Tikapur, Mahendranagar, Butwal, Lakeside Pokhara, and its central office.
The programs targeted students and youth, aiming to increase their financial knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
More than 1,200 participants attended these events, which covered a wide range of financial topics including savings, loans, investment, clean currency, electronic financial services, remittances, complaints resolution, financial institutions, the securities market, risk management, insurance, financial fraud, and financial discipline.
Additionally, the bank utilized its official social media platforms to share important awareness content and videos, further engaging the public in the financial literacy movement.
The bank is confident that these efforts will raise awareness about the significance of financial education among teenagers, young adults, and youth, helping them make informed financial decisions for a secure future.
