KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that with the ongoing changes, the country is progressing at a rapid pace in terms of development.
During the Together for Tomorrow: Youth and the Prime Minister program organized today by the National Youth Association of Nepal, the Prime Minister emphasized that while there are challenges, each has its causes and solutions, and the government is actively working to address them.
He highlighted that the Digital Nepal campaign, which he himself initiated, has brought significant changes in the technological sector.
“We have established numerous medical colleges, and we are progressing towards building basic-level hospitals in every municipality. Some have already been completed, while others are in the process. This will bring a major transformation in Nepal’s healthcare sector. The government has prioritized education and healthcare,” said Prime Minister Oli. “Our daughters dream of becoming specialist doctors; some are already specialists, serving the people. This is a significant achievement of our time. We must not approach problems emotionally. The challenges we face today are a part of the development process, and we need to manage them and move forward.”
Prime Minister Oli further emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in creating employment opportunities and the need for agricultural modernization to increase production and productivity. He urged the youth to focus on these areas.
Around 140 young participants from fields like medicine, law, science, and technology were present at the event.
They shared the current state and challenges of their respective sectors.
The Prime Minister encouraged them to bring detailed reports focused on their specific fields, which could be incorporated into the government’s upcoming policies, programs, and budget.
