KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) has implemented a new distribution network to supply water from 13 different pond locations across the valley.

The new system ensures proportional distribution of water from the Melamchi project, as informed by Tikabahadur Chaudhary, Chief of the Melamchi Water Supply Project Implementation Directorate.

The management system includes measures for testing water clarity, chlorine levels, and quality monitoring at all ponds.

Additionally, KUKL has installed automated electric meters on the water distribution lines in the Chhathmati and Anamnagar areas as part of a pilot project.

This initiative aims to improve water supply monitoring and efficiency.
