RSP President Lamichhane to appeal at Patan High Court

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Ravi Lamichhane is set to approach the Patan High Court to file an appeal against the Kathmandu District Court’s order in the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative embezzlement case.

Lamichhane intends to challenge the court’s decision made on Jan 16.

During the hearing regarding the funds transferred from Swarnalaxmi Cooperative at Kalimati to Gorkha Media Network, Lamichhane denied having any consent regarding the transaction.

In connection with this case, Lamichhane was granted bail on Jan 15 with a bond of 6 million Nepali Rupees.

Lamichhane’s legal team will submit the appeal today at the Patan High Court, seeking to overturn the lower court’s ruling.
