PM Oli urges Turkish President for Bipin Joshi’s safe release
The Prime Minister made this request during the phone conversation from his official residence in Baluwatar.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a telephone call today to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, urging him to take further action for the safe release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who was taken hostage by Hamas.
The Prime Minister made this request during a phone conversation from his official residence in Baluwatar.
In response, President Erdoğan assured that he would take the issue seriously and make efforts for the release of Joshi, while also requesting to keep Joshi’s family and the Nepali community informed about the developments.
Earlier, on February 27, 2023, Prime Minister Oli had also contacted the President of Egypt to request help for Joshi’s release, following his abduction by Hamas during the Oct 7, 2023 attack on Israel.
During the call, President Erdoğan also reminded Prime Minister Oli about the invitation extended to him for an upcoming diplomatic conference in Turkey in April.
The discussion also covered cooperation in the fields of economics, science, and technology, along with expanding bilateral relations between the two countries.
