Stock market sees continued decline for fifth consecutive day

KATHMANDU: The stock market has experienced a decline again today, marking the fifth consecutive day of negative movement this week.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 12.84 points, settling at 2,669.31 points.
A total of 95,99,343 shares from 312 companies were traded, with 55,476 transactions taking place, amounting to a turnover of Rs 4.56 billion (456,131,282).
While 62 companies saw an increase in share prices, 175 companies experienced a decrease, and 7 companies had stable share prices.
The trading subgroup index saw a 0.26% increase, while shares of Mithila Laghubitta Financial Institution Limited and Bhugel Energy Development Company saw a negative circuit.
Dolti Power Company Limited saw the highest share price increase, rising by 0.90%.
