KATHMANDU: For the first time in Dolpa district, metal detectors have been used to check students during the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which started today.

The metal detectors were introduced to ensure that students do not bring any devices that could disrupt the exam, such as mobile phones and other electronic gadgets.

According to Tej Bahadur Giri, the center head of Janaprabha Secondary School, the metal detectors were used as a preventive measure to avoid the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices in the examination halls.

In the past, there have been instances where students used mobile phones inside the exam halls, prompting the authorities to enforce stricter measures this time.

A total of 775 students from the district participated in this year’s examination.
