Prachanda hails victory of Maoist-backed Student Union in elections

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), has expressed his excitement over the wave of support for the party-affiliated All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) in the recently concluded elections for the Free Students Union.

Prachanda took to social media platform Facebook on Thursday to extend his congratulations and best wishes to the victorious student representatives.

In his message, Prachanda emphasized that the results across various campuses, where even the ruling coalition faced defeat, reaffirm the growing alliance of conscientious and intellectual youth in support of his campaign against corruption and misrule.

He stated that the election results serve as further proof of the youth’s commitment to this cause.

Prachanda wrote, “The wave of support for our party-affiliated All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) in the recently concluded Free Students Union elections is highly encouraging. The results, which have seen the defeat of the ruling coalition in several campuses across the country, are a testament to the growing support of the aware and intellectual youth for our anti-corruption and anti-misrule campaign. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the victorious student leaders.”
