KATHMANDU: With the support of Chaudhary Foundation, clean drinking water has been set up in Pratappur Rural Municipality, West Nawalparasi.

The drinking water project, which had been in a deteriorated state for nearly 13 years, has been upgraded and restored to operation in Pratappur village, Ward 9.

The project was officially inaugurated by House of Representatives member Binod Chaudhary on Wednesday.

He emphasized that access to clean drinking water is a fundamental right of every citizen, stating, “Clean drinking water has been provided here with the assistance of Chaudhary Foundation. We are committed to completing this work. The government must prioritize ensuring clean drinking water for its citizens.”

The project’s renovation was made possible through the financial support of Chaudhary Foundation.

Before this initiative, the people of Pratappur had been forced to rely on water contaminated with high levels of arsenic, posing serious health risks.

The long-closed water supply system has now been revived, providing clean drinking water to the community, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Chaudhary Foundation and Pratappur Rural Municipality.

The local residents have expressed their joy and relief over the availability of pure, safe drinking water. The project will directly benefit hundreds of families in Pratappur.

In addition to supporting this water project, Chaudhary Foundation has been actively working in West Nawalparasi in areas such as youth self-employment, women’s entrepreneurship, and improving education, health, and employment opportunities.

MP Binod Chaudhary remains deeply engaged in his constituency, consistently focusing on development initiatives.
