Banking offense & penalty amendment bill-2080 passed by majority in NA

KATHMANDU: The ‘Banking Offense and Penalty Amendment Bill-2080’ has been passed by a majority vote in the National Assembly.

The bill, which was presented along with the report of the Legislative Management Committee, received unanimous approval in the Upper House after discussions were held in the House of Representatives.

During the deliberations, the bill’s proponent, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, expressed gratitude to the members for their consensus on the proposed amendments.
