Third ‘Nepal Int’l Theatre Festival’ kicks off (photos)

KATHMANDU: The third edition of the ‘Nepal International Theatre Festival’ has kicked off at the Mandala Theatre in Thapagaun.

The festival began on Wednesday afternoon under the theme ‘Theatre for Social Transformation, the Light of Indigenous Knowledge.’

The event, which started on March 19, will run until March 25.

During this period, 17 plays from 12 countries will be showcased, as shared by the festival coordinator, Kedar Shrestha.

According to him, the festival will feature four discussions, four debates, three workshops, three poetry sessions across different platforms, three indigenous music performances, three cultural presentations, as well as live visual arts and performing arts.
