Police arrests 6 individuals with illegal brown heroin
The arrests were carried out based on information.
KATHMANDU: Makwanpur Police have arrested six individuals with illegal brown heroin, according to the District Police Office of Makwanpur. The arrests were made at different locations across the district.
According to the police, the arrests were carried out based on information about drug trafficking occurring at the house of Ranis Thapa in Om Nagar, Hetauda-8, on Tuesday afternoon around 3 PM.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyam Aryal of the Makwanpur District Police Office confirmed that, acting on special intelligence, they arrested 37-year-old Ranis Thapa, 32-year-old Dhansing Waiba from Hetauda-15, and 35-year-old Sunil Khadgi from Hetauda-8. During their search, authorities found 2 grams and 290 milligrams of brown heroin.
The arrested individuals are currently under investigation.
Additionally, on Tuesday, police arrested three individuals with drugs from a house in Nyureni, Hetauda-10, belonging to 43-year-old Humbahadur Thapa Magar.
Based on intelligence about ongoing drug trafficking, police apprehended 24-year-old Bijay Alemagar from Hetauda-2, Chaukitol, and 18-year-old Rabin Sunar.
During the search, authorities seized 1 gram and 430 milligrams of brown heroin hidden in their possession.
The suspects are now under police custody for further investigation.
The police continue to investigate the case and take necessary legal actions against the accused.
